Company
Annandale Design, one of the UK's leading manufacturers and installers of architectural metalwork, has grown from humble beginnings 33 years ago to its current market position, with a turnover approaching £3m.
Annandale Design's expertise in repair work provided the company with an unrivalled skill set for polished steel work, which is highly sought after in balustrading. Coupled with its experience in machining and installing structural steelwork, Annandale Design found it had a unique offering in the UK construction market.
Based in Kilmarnock Scotland, the business remains family-owned and run and has grown to employ 40 people, most of whom start out working on the shop floor and are trained to move up through the ranks. This gives Annandale Design a unique advantage over other similar companies, as it means that all employees are aware of the technical realities, and what can or cannot be achieved.
One of the company's key competitive advantages is in its approach to the supply and installation of products. Where most companies will manufacture the required products in a machining workshop which are then passed to a separate installation team, at Annandale Design the same people that make the product are also trained to install it. This minimises errors, improves quality, reduces lead-time, and helps the company to ensure that clients are given the best possible service.
