Annandale Steel The Show At Bullring Shopping Centre

Annandale Design, one of the UK's leading manufacturers and installers of architectural metalwork and structural steelwork, has demonstrated its all round expertise with the completion of the Bullring Shopping Centre in Birmingham.

Annandale manufactured, supplied and installed the feature pilasters and horizontal transoms to the interior of the building which required high quality paint finish as well as the corresponding external pilasters and horizontal transom channels for the £500 million shopping development managed by Sir Robert McAlpine.

Annandale's Managing Director, Allan Frew, said "Annandale has established an enviable reputation for supplying a superior quality of architectural metalwork, however the company's successful approach is based on our extensive experience in structural steelwork. The finishing of the feature pilasters and transoms was extremely complex as not only did they have to be supplied and installed with a high quality paint finish, the contract also dictated that no fixings were visible to maintain the aesthetics of the project.

He continued, "With large construction projects such as the Bullring Shopping Centre, it is often difficult to maintain your work schedules as you are relying on other contractors to ensure areas are clear and complete for your work to start.
