As part of the regeneration of the Sighthill area in Glasgow, Annandale Design was commissioned to fabricate a series of bespoke landscape features. Using Corten (weathering steel) alongside powder-coated elements, the project brings a distinctive and durable aesthetic to this evolving urban space.
Project Overview & Regeneration Scope
- Use of Corten (weathering steel) for natural finish
- Bespoke fabricated landscape features
- Combination of raw and coated materials
- Designed for durability in outdoor environments
- Contribution to large-scale urban regeneration
Fabrication & Site Installation
This project involved the fabrication of multiple custom-designed features to enhance the public realm within the Sighthill regeneration area. The use of Corten steel provides a unique, evolving finish that naturally weathers over time, creating a rich, textured appearance.
Alongside this, powder-coated steel elements were incorporated to add contrast and durability. Each feature was manufactured with precision, ensuring consistency across the site while maintaining the individuality of each installation.
Our team worked closely with project stakeholders to deliver high-quality components that aligned with the wider vision for the area. The result is a series of installations that are both visually striking and built to withstand the demands of an outdoor environment.
Impact on the Environment & Community
The completed features add character and identity to the Sighthill regeneration project. Annandale Design successfully delivered durable, visually impactful elements that enhance the public space and contribute to the area’s transformation.
